DESCRIPTION:

A nonspecific 80s home in the Regency area is being transformed with a modified entry and addition to the rear yard that provides combined indoor/outdoor living.  The existing roof lines and massing are considered with subtle new geometries that complement the home's current scale.   The additions provide a new covered entry and enhanced main living and bedroom areas.  Vertically louvered façade systems provide orchestrated filters for light and privacy while maintaining an identity for new interventions to the program.  The rear yard addition frames the kitchen and living areas that expand onto a new infinity pool, allowing the inhabitants to express their social and entertaining lifestyle.
